Just in time for her 25th birthday, "Good-Girl-Gone-Bad" Rihanna lands a multi-collection deal with MAC cosmetics. I guess 18 Billboard Music Awards, six American Music Awards, seven Grammys, a fragrance line, and a fashion collaboration with British retailer River Island just wasn't enough for the island princess. But really, when you think of someone who's unapologetically edgy and insanely gorgeous -- a.k.a. perfect for MAC -- she is the "Only Girl In The World" that comes to mind.
The partnership will include four distinct makeup collections to be launched throughout the year. The first product, arriving in stores this May, will be Riri Woo, a lipstick inspired by the MAC classic, Ruby Woo. Naturally, Rihanna will be deemed a creative partner rather than a spokesmodel, and her name will appear on the packaging with her signature embossed on the lipstick.
The summer and fall collections will be next to hit stores, along with a holiday collection that will most likely consist of makeup bags, lipsticks, nail polishes, and more. Riri Woo will be sold in all collections throughout the year.
Better than "Birthday Cake?" We think so.
