Lindsay Lohan recently surprised everyone when she debuted a fresh shade of red, a sign that her bleach-blonde days are far behind. Ready to be daring and try red this spring? Elizabeth Hiserodt, a colorist at the Serge Normant at John Frieda Salon in New York, believes that just about anyone can go red, just be sure to keep the following tips in mind:

1. Check the color of the veins on your wrist for your skin tone. If your veins are a blue color then your skin tone is cooler and you should stay away from warm reds. If you pair a warm hair color with a cool skin tone, your skin could appear more pink. Aim for a red that has blue undertones.

2. If your veins appear more green, you probably have a golden tone. Copper reds and golden brown/honey shades tend to look great against your skin.

3. If you have olive skin, stay away from warm hair colors because these make skin look more sallow. Olive skin looks best with brunette shades.

4. If your skin is on the darker side, avoid copper reds and steer towards cherry and violet reds for a nice contrast.
And the survey says...

Lindsay Lohan looks beautiful with red hair again. So fresh and much better than the blonde that washed her out so much.
