Hue-ray! Celebrities Are Flaunting New Hair Colors

Spring hasn't even arrived yet and still a crop of celebrities have traded in their signature shades for bold new hues.

First, Britney Spears returned to a brunette shade similar to her "Baby One More Time" look. Then, just hours after winning Best Actress at the Oscars, Jennifer Lawrence stepped out with black strands, while actress Shailene Woodley became a redhead earlier this week.

Of course, Lawrence and Woodley's changes have nothing to do with the spring season. Both actresses made the switch for upcoming parts. Lawrence is returning to her role as Katniss Everdeen in "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" and Woodley is making her debut as Mary Jane Watson in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2."

Still, we think this is just the beginning of some dramatic celebrity color changes. Do you…

Weekend Road Test: Elizabeth Arden Lash Enhancing Mascara

It rained all day Saturday in New York City, so I sat on my couch catching up on the second season of "Girls." In one episode, the characters have a stoop sale -- Jessa's idea, of course -- and they banter back and forth while hawking their used clothes to random passersby. Instead of paying attention to the dialogue, however, I found myself fixated on their makeup. Even the characters who barely wear any makeup ( even Hannah!) were unusually done up for a lazy weekend afternoon.

I, in turn, felt like an unkempt sloth in leggings and a bare face. I needed something to make me prettier, and the closest something was a brand new tube of Elizabeth Arden Lash Enhancing Mascara, $24. (I didn't want to get off the couch, and it was in a basket of new beauty products I keep in my living…

Weekend Recap: Beauty News From the Oscars and More

Did you miss the Oscars? Not to worry! The show wasn't particularly exciting and we've got the beauty recap here: The Best Hair and Makeup at the 2013 Academy Awards

There was a whole lot of hoopla over Anne Hathaway's last-minute decision to wear Prada instead of Valentino. Apparently, it was all because "Les Miserables" co-star Amanda Seyfried's gown was too similar to Hathaway's original pick. Source: Fashionista.com

We've always loved the team over at Tarte Cosmetics, but their version of the "Harlem Shake" takes our admiration to a whole new level. Watch it here: YouTube

We knew the Mediterranean diet (think fish, olive oil, and lots of veggies) was healthy, and new research proves it can reduce your risk of heart disease by 30 percent. Source: nytimes.com

Oscars Hairstyle Predictions With Celebrity Hairstylist Danilo

Earlier this week, I had the opportunity to hop into a salon chair and turn my hair over to Pantene celebrity hairstylist Danilo. We talked about his Oscar predictions -- and his plans for Kristen Stewart's hair, which he'll be doing on Sunday -- and then he showed me how to achieve the Old Hollywood waves that were so popular at the Golden Globes and the SAG Awards.

His tricks? More volumizing spray than I've ever used before, a head full of pin curls, and the confidence to brush it out. Miraculously, a few strokes with a Sonia Kashuk Hair Brush, $15.79, (Danilo's favorite) -- in combination with Pantene Pro-V Touchable Volume Hairspray, $3.99 -- turns big curls into silky waves.

As for the Oscars, Danilo thinks most celebs will play it safe again with pretty, classic looks.…

Look of The Week: Freida Pinto

With the Oscars only a few days away, we're looking forward to a bounty of hair and makeup inspiration, courtesy of our favorite actresses -- especially since the latest pre-Oscars party looks are already blowing us away. Case in point: Freida Pinto. The L’Oréal Paris spokeswoman looked simply stunning as she hosted the Vanity Fair & L’Oréal Paris pre-Oscars party in support of 10 x 10 and Girl Rising.

The actress's hairstyle -- a modern take on a ponytail -- not only showed off her gorgeous face, it also mimicked the graphic lines of her dress. Cool, right? To get her hair extra shiny, hairstylist Robert Steinken used two pumps of L’Oréal Paris EverSleek Precious Oil Treatment, $12.99, on the length of the pony. Then, he sealed it in place with L’Oréal Paris Elnett Satin…
