Great for the summer!
Everyone raves about this so I decided to splurge on this. This jar costed me $19 at Target. Woah! Are we even sure we want to label this drugstore? If you don't want to spend so much on this product, Ulta is always having sales on the Neutrogena line. I saw this for $16 at one time. I love how refreshing this is. I read somewhere that for oily skin people, we should use a gel moisturizer during t...read morehe summer instead of a cream moisturizer. Cream moisturizers just tends to make us look more oily. I don't know why all the gel moisturizers I've tried like the Garnier one doesn't contain SPF in it. I still have to layer a SPF moisturizer on top of this or a foundation that contains SPF. A little of this product goes a long way. It has a watery consistency so I just dab a little onto my fingers and it covers my entire face. This gives my skin moisture in the summer but when the weather gets colder, it doesn't moisturize as well. The flaky skin around my nose is still there. luxurious feel
Of all the hyaluronic acid and gel moisturizers I've tried, I like this one best. It feels so luxurious that when I first put it on, I had to double-check the jar to make sure I hadn't bought the gel-cream by accident. It is very lightweight, almost like a serum, dries matte, but unfortunately does not stay matte on my very oily skin. It wears well under makeup. Breakouts!
I bought this product when it was rather new in the market. I started using it soon after. I have oily acne prone skin but when I started using this moisturizer, my face was clear but soon after using this product, my face started breaking out. I was so bummed. I stopped using this product and soon they were gone. I gave it a try after sometime again but the same thing happened. I did not like it ...read moreat all. Awesome!
I have dehydrated, acne prone skin but this product has turned it around. Keeps me hydrated and my breakouts have not been as frequent or as severe. Awesome Moisturizer!
For a drugstore moisturizer, this is definitely on the more expensive side. I paid $20.99 for it before tax at Walgreens. However, it is totally worth the money. It is not too thick so that it clogs the areas where I get oily, like around my nose and chin, but it isn't too light either, as it deeply nourishes and hydrates all my normal to dry areas. It is a nice gel liquid-y gel-like consistency, ...read moreand I like the packaging it comes in: it feels like it could be a very high end moisturizer. My skin totally absorbs the product too: it does not sit on my skin like a big greasy mess. It hydrates my skin and makes my face feel really soft. I like it for day or night because it is such a good middle ground between light weight and thick. One thing to be really careful of is when you first open it: I read it was a gel, so I didn't expect it to be very liquid-y like it is, so when I first opened it a bunch spilled all over a sweater sticking out of my drawer. Other than that I have no complaints. I feel like it makes my skin happy too because I don't look as red after using it. Fabulous
This moisturizer is perfect for those of us with oily, acne-prone skin but who use so many drying and irritating products to combat acne. It's not at all greasy, and it doesn't make my skin feel tight, as if I needed more moisture. I've noticed such a difference in the texture and feel of my skin and I've only been using it for a week. It's lightweight but so moisturizing. I only wish it didn't have dyes or added fragrance.
