Less than satisfactory

Overall I found this product less than satisfactory. It made my skin itch and it really showed the creases in my forehead.

Not My Favorite

I ended up buying this foundation after hearing so many good reviews about it, but for me it wasn't as good as it sounded. I don't really have oily skin but when I would where this foundation, I would find myself having to blot my face with a paper towl at lunch time. Like it more the more I use it

The more I use this, the more I like it. I have oily skin and this really stops the shine all day long. Very light coverage but it does smooth out and "perfect" my skin; the more I "buff" it the better my skin looks. It really evens out the skin tone under my eyes!! It did take some practice to apply, even though I've been using another mineral foundation for awhile. This product is finer, more "powdery", and at first I was applying too much. There's some good deals out there on small starter kits, take advantage of those.

Love It!

I love this product and I'm glad I bought it. It works well with my oily skin. I love the wide range of tones they have available. I'm dark and it's hard to find something that works through all skin tones.

Just okay

I returned the original for the matte because it did not stay on my skin and there was absolutely no coverage. The matte formula provided a little more coverage but I also had to use more than what the directions say to use. It kept my skin from getting as oily but it was not completely oil free. I do have acne prone, sensitive and oily skin so I am happy to say that this did not break me out or cause any irritation. However, I wish that it provided more coverage and more of a matte affect.

Darker tone than the original?

I have loved Bare Minerals for years. My only problem has been that it doesn't last all day, and I don't have time to reapply. I have oily skin which doesn't help matters. But when I liked best of all was that the "Fair" shade, which is the lightest of all Bare Minerals shades, actually matched my skin tone. I always got tons of compliments on my skin. So, when I went to Ulta recently an...read mored saw the new Matte Foundation I bought two of them. I should have tried it on. It doesn't match my skin tone and it makes me look older. It looks like the "Fairly Light" shade of foundation, which is too dark for me. It's extremely hard to find makeup that matches my skin tone. When I go to get my makeup done at any store, they try to put something on me that's too dark or makes me look orange. I have a porcelain complexion with pink undertones. The original Bare Minerals was perfect for me, except it didn't last long on my skin. But I'm going back to it, sadly.

Did not work for me

This foundation did not blend with my skin the way the original does. It seemed to sit on top of my skin. And it did no mattifying for my oily skin. I took it back for exchange of the original.

Bad for Dry Skin Types

I have dry and sensitive skin so I need a natural foundation- like mineral makeup.. but I hate that everyone who wears Bare Minerals looks like they took a face-bath in shimmery bronzer. I saw this Matte foundation and went for it- within 5 hours of wearing it (less than a full work day) my skin was so dried out it started to crack and peel! I had to go to the bathroom and wash all of my makeup off and start slathering my hand cream all over my face!

Wow!

I was so impressed with this foundation I've been recommending it to everyone I know, which is rare for me, because I'm not one to publicize my beauty secrets. This makeup, however, is an exception to every rule. First, and mainly (to me, since I have oily skin) it does NOT sweat off. Usually by mid-morning I have a layer of shine over my forehead, but wearing this makeup it was just a teeny tiny ...read moreglow that actually looked natural! It provided me with great coverage, which is great because I always have at least one pimple lingering somewhere, and this makeup covered it well. I tried Physician's Formula prior to this makeup because I heard it wasn't as shiny as Bare Minerals the regular version, and was disappointed with the lack of coverage. This, however, is perfect. I will never change to anything again!
