Not convinced.
I bought a pinkish color but it stains more red than pink. I don't like the feeling on my lips too much, so I use it mostly as a lip liner.This review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Want dry lips? Buy it!
As someone who puts lipstick on each day and reapplies it about 20 times each day, I was desperately excited about trying a lip stain and decided CoverGirl would be a safe bet. Wrong!!! First of all, I have dry lips and use lip balm every day under my lipstick. When I put this stain on top of the lip balm, the stain came off right away. So, I ditched the lip balm and put the stain on solo. Wr...read moreong!!!! First of all, it made my lips extremely dry and shriveled. Second of all, it doesn't spread very well. I don't know if that is because of my dry lips or because of the applicator. (Plus, I couldn't even figure out how to get the stuff out of the dispenser. It was obvious I needed more to come out than what was coming out, but I couldn't make more come out.) Okay, so now it is on and "spotty." I can't get enough out to cover all of my lips and it is sticking in some spots more than others. Looks like an accident on my lips. Then, I waited a minute or two and kissed my hand to see if it would come off. It did (doesn't come off in the commercials). So I waited 5 more minutes and drank out of a glass. Again, stain came off on the glass. BUT, there was still "some" color on some parts of my lips. With regard to that "some" color, when I tried to get it off later in the day, I couldn't. You should also know you can't put lip balm or lip gloss over the stain; if you do, the stain, for the most part, comes off. I have lips (I.e., I'm not a thin lipped person). Anything on my lips is going to get attention so it has to be good. Would I use this product again? No. Would I recommend anyone buy it? No! Did I toss the one I had? Yes. I love how lightweight lip stains are, but this lipstain was SO DRYING D: My lips were cracked and gross within about 2 hours, I'd say? I don't recommend this. 2 stars for color choice, but that's it.This review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful

Natural and budget friendly
This is the first non-luxury brand stain (I believe) to come on the market. They started to get really popular a couple of years back when all you could really get was Benetint and Covergirl jumped on the trend. They done good on this one. The shades are natural and fresh (though I'd stick with something close to your skin tone as that is the point of stains; for them to last long and look natural...read more), they feel light, and stick around (hence "stain"). The only problem I've had with the product is, just like school-age frustrations with Crayola Washables, they dry out.
