AWESOME QUALITY AND COLOR!!

One coat nail polish!
Essie nail polishes are about $8 at your local drugstore. The first time I painted my nails with Essie polish, I could tell how high quality they were. I wish I could say the same about this nail polish as everyone else has but I haven't been as lucky with this product! I love neutral colors that I can match with any outfit on a day-to-day basis so I chose a really nice gray called "chinchilly". The first time I applied the polish it took almost two hours for it to completely dry. After the first hour I pressed a nail a little to see how it was d...read moreoing and although it looked done, it left a small imprint of my finger so I had to re-do it. I gave up on the polish for a while but then decided to try it out one more time using a different technique. I applied a much thinner layer and saw that the coat was far from opaque. After it dried (like thirty minutes later) I applied another layer and let that one dry as well. Although in the beginning of letting the second layer dry it looked pretty good, after it completely dried I could still see small areas where I could see through the coating. On top of that, the next day my nails looked much worse, had no shine, and had little knicks in them just from every day activities. Maybe it was just the light color I chose or maybe this is a polish that has to have a clear top coat on it, but for $8 it just wasn't worth it for me. Though OPI is one of my favorite polishes, since I discovered Essie, I started loving the soft shades Essie offers. The fact that I can do a relatively mistake-free manicure using the smaller brush (compared to OPI's) is great. I like the formula, which is shiny, smooth, and doesn't chip for days after applying it. It takes me a few coats to get the perfect shade on the colors I'm using now (mink muffs, soulmate, ballet slippers and chinchilly), but the end result is pretty.This review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

As an avid long-time user of Essie nail pamperers, I've never been disappointed with her. Where do I start? The color collection is vast, innovative, and ultra-modern. Everything from the bottle construction to the brush makes doing your own manicures a breeze. I'm not sure what really makes the brush shape so different from others, but it seems to make it easier to achieve an even, smooth applica...read moretion. Every color I've tried gives nails a bright and glossy vibrancy. Another plus: they really cling to my nails for dear life, especially with Essie's Good to Go top coat. My favorite colors amongst my ever-growing stash? I love In Stitches, But Me a Cameo, Eternal Optimist, Chinchilly, Bordeaux, and Sugar Daddy. so many fun colors!
I love that there is such a wide variety of trendy colors to choose from. Also, the polish lasts pretty long without chipping. Some lighter colors that I own take a few coats, but I suppose that's expected with almost any brand of nail polish. Soo pretty!
I have an essie polish in the color fiesta and its a pretty hot pink color! It dried in under 2 minutes and only needed 3 coats! It has such a pretty shiny finish and lasted about 5 days without really chipping.This review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful
