Essie Polish Review
I have 100's of bottles of nail polish, but I seem to migrate to my Essie polishes the most. Colors are brilliant, and have a great shine prior to adding a top coat. Price is great for the quality. The BEST
Essie is by far my favorite nail polish brand, and I definitely prefer it over OPI. The range of colors and finishes are excellent, the price is fair, and it has the longest staying power of any nail polish I've tried. Even without a topcoat, it lasts for at least a week without chipping. Essie is also DBP, Toluene and Formaldehyde free, which for me is the cherry on top. Great nail polish!!
I just got Aruba Blue from Essie. It is so pretty on my nails that my boyfriend actually noticed my nails. Also, it doesn't chip easy. I think I'll be wearing this color a lot. However, I should note that there was another Essie polish I got that didn't work that well. I believe it was in Play Date. It didn't apply too well and it chipped. Good not Great
I think Essie is a very solid nail polish. I think it is very comparable to OPI. They have a wide range of super cute colors and I like the packaging. My big complaint though is it is a little streaky when I apply it. Especially on the lighter colors the first base is very streaky. Love this polish!

Too thin, small brush, takes forever to dry
I recently bought a beautiful brown shade called Sandy Tropaz to go with a sea green of another (but cheap) brand. I was splurging on getting what I thought was a really nice brand. When I put on the first coat, the brush was very thin as was the paint, it resulted in a very streaked coat. I thought it would go away with the second coat but it didn't- I got a very lumpy look with areas that hardly...read more had any paint on at all. I'm not a professional nail artist or anything but it shouldn't be difficult to get an even coat with any polish. I was especially disappointed when long after my nails should have been dry, they smudged. Surprising!
I bought my first bottle of Essie not long ago and I have been very pleased! Aside from a great range of colors, my pedicure still looks brand new after 2 weeks. Color went on very shiny and looks great! Not disappointed and will buy again. Best Drugstore Nail Polish
Essie nail polish is quite similar to many salon nail polish brands but its more accessible, seeing as it is sold in drug stores. Wonderful color selections. Easy application.
