    works well!

This is the only facial cleanser that has worked on my sensitive eczema. I still don't use it everyday because I fear that anything everyday will dry me out. I find I get a little zitty when I use the "waterless" method.

Gentle cleansing for a real (sensitive) man

Ladies, anyone else got combination oily/dry skin prone to breakouts? Can I get an 'amen'? I've tried Clinique/Clarins products which have worked for me, but who can afford those on a regular basis. For less than 8 bucks I can get this gentle stuff which noticeably removes oily gunk without drying my skin out. I switched to the 'normal to oily' type because the other one left me with a slightly oi...read morely coating on my skin. The only improvement I could possibly hope for would be smaller sample size packaging for traveling. But I guess I could use regular squeeze bottles if I wasn't lazy. Moms, get your teen boys using this as soon as they get pimply. And make them use it twice a day, or they'll never get a girlfriend.

    Skin Saver

I have battled with my dry, sensitive skin since puberty. I didn't find out until my early 20's that I actually had dry, sensitive skin and not acne prone like I thought. Turns out all the products I was using were causing my face to break out and turn red and flaky because they were too harsh! DUH My doctor recommended Cetaphil and gave me a little sample to try out. After a couple of days using...read more it twice a day the results were very noticeable; I no longer had any redness or breakouts and my pores were more refined! So I headed off to the nearest drug store and bought the biggest size I could get which was going to cost $10 CAN. It is one of the bigger ones with the old logo, the one with all blue. I find that it takes off my makeup and mascara wonderfully, despite other reviews. However, I only wear a tinted moisturizer, blush and minimal eye products so that could be why it removes so well. It doesn't matter what the reason is. Cetaphil changed my skin and they have another lifetime user! ----------------------------- EDIT: wasn't helping my skin the least bit. Still breaking out and lots of redness. Discontinued it and went on to something else. Might be better for someone who has normal skin that isn't prone to blemishes

    Inexpensive, ineffective

This cleanser does not do a good job of removing even light makeup or concealer on the face. Furthermore, if you really want to get rid of oil on your nose or T-zone, this really doesn't cut it. I have switched to Shiseido Extra Gentle Cleansing Foam, and it's amazing.

Gentle, but perhaps not strong enough

Cetaphil was recommended by my dermatologist because it is gentle (I was using too many harsh treatments/cleansers, which were actually aggravating breakouts rather than helping them). However, I notice that it's hard to get make-up off using Cetaphil. I recently got a facial and the woman agreed that Cetaphil's gentleness is great, but that something more is needed to really remove makeup well. I still use it, but only after using a make-up removing cloth.

    gental cleaser

I've used this cleanser for years, ever since the dermotologist recommended it. It just doesn't take mascara off very well. Otherwise, I have neutral skin and it doesn't dry out my face or leave it oily

    great product

I absolutely love this face wash. My dermatologist turned me on to it years ago and haven't stopped using it.

    Great for in-between skin

Cetaphil helps to keep my skin blemish-free and without the dryness of harsher products. It works best on skin without makeup.
