As a fan of a higher-priced line, this is a good standby if you: 1 are on a budget (can find it BOGO) 2 have limited time, a mom on-the-go... 3 need something to take along for touch-ups or travel 4 want natural coverage 5 have problem skin 6 want something fast and simple Some have commented on the sheerness of the coverage--...read more"sheer" is the name of this product! This is not spackle. Use concealer or a more expensive mineral makeup like bareMinerals beneath on blemishes or redness, to stretch your money. Mineral makeup should enhance your look. Your skin's natural coloring should show through after buffing in. Problem skin including breakout's, uneven tone or redness can benefit from mineral foundation and allow skin to heal. If your skin has issues, first focus on improving your skin. If your skin is breaking out or clogging, which I've never experienced from mineral makeup, consider how you're caring for your skin from washing, creams, to how clean your makeup brushes, how much/type of product you use in your hair and where it touches your face (also hands, clothing, telephone), and importantly, what you put into your body. Grinding the brush into your face will cause the bristles to mat. When the powder is low, buy a new powder for clean skin application, and save your older one for quickie touch-ups.(Blot face first.) Short of not having as many color options, Neutrogena Mineral Sheers IS as stated on the packaging a nice "mineral powder foundation" that is "pure and gentle" for a "natural healthy look" that allows skin to breathe and feels very light or like nothing at all. No fumbling with or wondering which brush to use, no spills or excess waste of powder when applying or storing, easy to open and easy to close. Good for light coverage
I tried this with high expectations. I don't need heavy coverage to even out my skin, but this didn't even out my skin tone at all. I actually prefer it as a loose powder than an actual foundation. This has a light feel, goes on smooth and matches my skin tone very well. I have layered it over other mineral foundations as well as liquid foundations and I never had a thick, cakey feel or look. Not bad

uneven, powdery coverage
I have used a few different mineral foundations and this is the only one that I have disliked. The coverage was uneven and it looked very powdery. Not great coverage
