This works covering all those wonderful age spots, red splotches, and all those other wonderful blemishes that happen with age. Goes on smoothly and blends, even if you choose not to use any foundation, so no more "spots" and no one can tell you have "touched" up any areas. Works great as a base for eye shadow and keeps the shadow from creasing throughout the day. Love the Summer Bisque by Bare Escentuals
I love this bisque, works wonders on everything from blemishes to redness, I recently went to a Bare Escentuals Boutique in Honolulu and they pointed me towards the summer bisque, I had been using the regular bisque and they let me know for redness I wanted to use the SUMMER bisque because it has less red and more yellow to cover the redness in my skin and blemishes to boot! This particular product from the line is wonderful because it hides any blemishes you might have and it diffuses out imperfections so that you have a flawless and natural finish, while it still manages to feel absolutely weightless on your face. It's not "shimmery" but it does provide your complexion with a flattering sheen, making you look luminous but not sparkly or shiny. Like other reviewers have mentioned here, there is a bit of a learning curve to be mastered in the application of bareMinerals, but as long as you follow the "swirl, tap, buff" technique that is associated with this line, its fairly easy to get the hang of and is very worth it. I will never ever venture into the world of liquid makeup or pressed powders that are loaded with chemicals and make you look like youre wearing a mask. This is a much more beneficial option and I could really go on and on raving about how amazing it is. Too dark for pale skin
I've used the symposium of Bare Minerals products for about four years now, and though I've tried to wean myself off of them with varying levels of success, I always find myself drawn back to them. My one complaint? I have very, very pale skin that is completely and utterly impervious to sunlight (other than to turn into a lobster-red, sunburned fright), and as a result, I have a very difficult ti...read moreme in finding foundation shades that match my skin without that orange line of demarcation -- a dead giveaway. Though I have acne, which, thankfully, is beginning to lessen, I find that the foundation alone isn't always the most lasting solution -- even when applied using the concealer brush -- and so I've purchased a few of the Bare Minerals in Bisque on various occasions, but have always found it to simply be too dark for my complexion. Rather than hiding those unsightly acne scars, it instead draws attention to them, cloaking them in a too-dark, yellowish glob that stands out on my pale, pinkish skin. It's a shame that they don't make this product in varying shades beyond the minimum -- believe me, I have tried mixing the product with the mineral veil and with my foundation to lighten it, but have had little to no success. I'm hooked on Bare Minerals, but until they make a shade of the Bisque that's lighter than the traditional or less yellow than the Summer Bisque, then this is one product that I'm just going to have to do without.This review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

The best in mineral makeup!
The bisque color is a great all-over color for Caucasians, it goes well with most skin tones.
