Buh-bye nasty scraggle, hello smooth-faced Brad

Buh-bye nasty scraggle, hello smooth-faced Brad

Despite the fact that Angelina Jolie recently told Vanity Fair magazine that she "loves Brad in every state," her significant other was spotted in Los Angeles yesterday on the set of his new movie, without the scruffy beard he's been sporting for about a year now. Talk about a beauty tip - dude needed to lose that scraggle whether or not Angie dug it.

About a month ago, "Brad beard watch" revealed that the actor, 46,had cut off the ends of the much-maligned scruff, but had kept a goatee. Now, he's completely clean-shaven and back at work making a new movie called "Moneyball," with Jonah Hill, Robin Wright Penn and Philip Seymour Hoffman. Pitt plays Oakland A's general manager, Billy Beane, who successfully built a pro baseball club on a strict budget. Shooting got underway in Los Angeles last week.

The beard in question was an enigma mostly because he hadn't grown it for a movie role and it simply wasn't a good look for him. In fact back in March, Pitt, whose twins Vivienne and Knox turned 2 today, told the British tabloid, The Sun, that the reason he had the scruff was due to "boredom. No other reason than that."

Maybe "boredom" is what lead Jolie to get a new tattoo on her inner thigh that she says is "for Brad." Atypical silence from the woman who's pretty bold with the rest of her tats – and life – makes it all the more intriguing.

Jolie, whose new movie, "Salt," opens July 23rd, has been spending a lot of time lately defending her decision to let her 4 year-old daughter, Shiloh, dress like a boy telling Reuters News; "I think she (Shiloh) is fascinating, the choices she is making. And I would never be the kind of parent to force somebody to be something they are not. I think that is just bad parenting... Children should be allowed to express themselves in whatever way they wish without anybody judging them because it is an important part of their growth. Society always has something to learn when it comes to the way we judge each other, label each other. We have far to go." And, in her Vanity Fair cover article she said, " She likes tracksuits, she likes [regular] suits. She likes to dress like a boy. She wants to be a boy. So we had to cut her hair. She likes to wear boys' everything. She thinks she's one of the brothers."

Well, at least she didn't want to buy a fake beard and glue it on to look like dear old dad.
