Since my hair is thick and wavy, I'm lucky in that it doesn't require too much washing. That said, I do have bangs -- which, thanks to my perpetually oily forehead, start to look greasy by day two. Luckily, dry shampoo is the answer to this conundrum, and Batiste's cult favorite formula does the job nicely. It makes my bangs presentable with just a few spritzes, and its fresh, floral scent is quite pleasant. --Rosie Narasaki
Thanks to all the coloring and heat-styling my long locks endure on a regular basis, they need a little TLC every once in a while. This hair mask from Carol's Daughter is exactly what I need once or twice a week. I smooth the fragrant, almond-scented treatment through freshly washed hair from roots to ends, leave on for 20 minutes and rinse. My ends look healthier and my hair is significantly softer, shinier and perfumed with the delicate almond aroma.

If you struggle with dandruff then you already know that most treatment shampoos are bearable at best. They generally leave my hair a dry, brittle mess. Still, I use them to stop the flakes, then follow with a heavy-duty conditioner to make my hair manageable again. This dandruff shampoo (and its companion conditioner) blew me away. My hair felt clean without being stripped. It left my hair touchably soft, shiny and silky and best of all didn't exacerbate my itchy scalp. --Jill Provost
I learned long ago that, when traveling, I can't rely on hotel conditioners -- or even the stuff my parents stock at their place (sorry, Mom!) -- to mollify my coarse hair. But instead of packing a travel-sized bottle of my favorite conditioner, I've started throwing this hair oil in my bag. I can apply it to the ends of my wet hair after showering for a mega-dose of moisture and softness -- which a lackluster conditioner might not provide. Unlike a travel-sized conditioner, this little guy is a heck of a multi-tasker. I can also use it before I blow-dry my hair for an extra-shiny finish or apply a small amount to dry hair to help tamp down frizz. And of course, it works just as well when I'm not jet-setting. --Mary Squillace
I discovered this product the same way I discovered an embarrassing amount of hair and beauty products: By stealing it from my college roommate back in the day. It comes in a huge tub, and you'll always feel fancy as you apply the rich cream to your fried ends. Its star ingredients are a blend of olive, meadowfoam seed, and sweet almond oil, which work together to heal each strand of hair, inside and out. --Rosie Narasaki
