The Most Versatile (and Comfortable) Hair Accessory Confession: I hate hair accessories. Headbands give me a headache, and barrettes make me feel like a five-year-old. Leave it to Chanel, however, to change my mind. When the Salzburg show happened back in December, I suddenly had to have a big black bow in my hair. (Here's proof.) But a ribbon felt flimsy and everything else felt like overkill.
Fast-forward six months, and I encounter the Remington Bendable Headscarf, $7. It's basically black fabric with bendable wire inside, and you can wear it as a headband, wrapped around a ponytail, tied into a bow or even on your wrist as a much-cooler-than-a-hair-tie bracelet. It's so simple yet so brilliant, it's never too tight (no headaches), and its minimalism makes it feel grownup. I'd go so far as to call it Chanel-runway chic -- and for only $7.
