Rob Pattinson's Wears a Red Suit On the (Black) Red Carpet at the "Eclipse" Premiere - But His Hairstyle's Hot

Because we've not seen much of any of the stars of "Twilight" out and about lately, and since they've been doing hardly any press to promote the release of the new "Eclipse" chapter, it was refreshing to see Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Kristen Stewart, Ashley Greene, Peter Facinelli, Kellan Lutz and more convene on the red carpet at Los Angeles' Nokia theater Thursday night for the highly-anticipated premiere of the saga's third installment.

And, though fans were, naturally, out of control, it was Rob's hairstyle (as usual) that caused a ruckus. Well, that and his um, let's say, interesting wardrobe choice.

It's not like he swung by The Good Will on the way to the gig. The suit, from Gucci's fall/winter 2010 collection screams high glamour, but maybe it's the blood-red color -- a deep shade or maroon -- off set by a gray shirt, skinny black tie and his signature pallor, that made it so much of a statement. Heck, we now know Edward's related to Dracula, but...

For her part, rumored on again/off again gal pal, Kristen Stewart, dressed in a virgin white Elie Saab, one shouldered mini with her usual Louboutins raising her to higher heights, was the perfect balance to R. Patz's strong look. And brunette Calvin Klein face/body model Kellan Lutz (who arrived with his "90210" star girlfriend, AnnaLynne McCord) looked handsome in a black suit and skinny tie and Ashley Greene (the new spokesperson for mark cosmetics mixed things up a bit by wearing a floor-length Alexis Mabille couture gown.

As you know, unless you've been holed up playing Dungeons & Dragons for 3 months, the movie hits theaters on June 30th.
