Nicole Richie Sports a Darker Hairstyle at Jewelry Launch

Richie, pictured here at a previous event during her lighter days, showed up to the launch with wavy, dark brunette locks and thick bangs.

Her hair also appeared fuller than usual, perhaps due to the added layers. The fresh color was flattering against her skin tone. Richie had tweeted about her new hair earlier in the day saying she felt "smarter already."

Richie's eye makeup consisted of brown and bronze tones, although it was hard to get a complete visual as her bangs were in the way. She wore a simple white strapless dress, which she accessorized with lots of jewelry from her own line.

This isn't the first venture into dark roots for Richie. She had a dark brunette shade in 2006, though since then she seems to have stuck to her normal, honey-blonde hair.
