Leighton Meester Unveils Dramatic Hair and Makeup at Jingle Ball

The Gossip Girl star, seen here at a previous event with a more demure look, has changed her look for her new music career. While the singer-actress once appeared polished and youthful in her outfits, she has now traded them in for funkier ensembles.

Meester swept her hair back in a bouffant style, and straightened the strands that were left out of the updo. While the hairstyle would have been just the right amount of glamour, Meester's eye makeup dramatized the whole look.

The singer-actress sported dramatic smoky eyes, with the help of extra grayish-blue eye shadow, which she applied past the outer corners of her eyes. She also applied a lighter version of the shadow underneath her eyelids. Using a metallic highlighter for her inside creases gave the color scheme a futuristic look. Heavy black eyeliner and mascara were used to make her eyes pop with a 3D effect.
