Venturing into different waters is not a new thing for brands in the fashion or art industry. If the last few years are anything to go by, where we've witnessed many fashion brands starting their own beauty lines (to our delight), we can make an educated guess that this business trend is only going to continue. The stakes are high, though. If the beauty products are not hand in hand with the quality we've come to be accustomed to, not only may the brand in question lose their credibility on the beauty front, it may actually devalue our perception and experience of the quality of their initial product(s), services and identity they've curated over time.
'Tis the season of dryer indoor air, so most of us will be reaching for our trusted sonic humidifiers. If you don't yet own one, and are thinking of changing that, have you considered an aromatherapy diffuser/humidifier (we love a multitasking product!)? The benefits of essential oils are many, and they vary depending on the kind of oil and effect you desire — even if it is just for the coziness of having your home or room smell divine. There may be one teeny tiny downside to such appliances, though. They can look...well...too appliance-y.
Variety is the spice of life, is it not? Well, the holiday season is here, and new holidays-themed value sets are going to be popping up more and more, making it SO hard to pick and choose, while being mindful of our spending at the same time.
What, in your opinion, makes a power-couple, but one of our (gender-liberated, feminist, self-aware but global-impact concious) generation? They were and are (or experience themselves as) self-dependent and accomplished people, both before and during marriage/dating? Check. They give us good fashion and headlines? Check. They share their devotion and happiness with pride and rise each other up? Check. They make love and money together? Cha-ching! I mean, check.
Whether you are looking to create an intricate or a minimal Halloween look, or simply attending some gatherings in "normal" attire, black makeup, although a staple in our collections in the form of mascara, eyeliner and pencil, is going to be getting way more visibility and usage, and on places on our faces and bodies where most of us don't often wear it (black lipstick, for instance, is not that common a choice for most people, but some days it's desirable even). Let's make the best of it, then, shall we?
