What Was She Thinking? Juliette Lewis "Switches" it up with a Blue Hairstyle on the Red Carpet

The "Cape Fear" actress channeled Katy Perry at last night's Los Angeles premiere of the Jennifer Aniston/Jason Bateman flick, "The Switch"
Anyone seen Papa Smurf?
The tow-toned updo bold as it may have been, wasn't really much of a, well, switch, for the "Natural Born Killers" actress who's as famous for her off beat fashion choices as she is for her work. And, she's made somewhat of a name for herself as that "wacky, offbeat" persona.
The premiere's after party, which took place at the W hotel's tony Delphine restaurant, afforded the cast, including stars Jennifer Aniston, Jason Bateman and Patrick Wilson, the time to catch up a bit. "Playing Jennifer's best friend was the easiest thing in the world," said Lewis of her character, Debbie. "She's inviting, and as lovely as you'd think or expect." Lewis, who was wearing a strapless white Dolce & Gabanna dress with black bows on it, told reporters that her bright blue 'do was because she's on tour with her band in support of her "Terra Incognita" record.
The last time Lewis created such a hullabaloo about her hair was when she arrived at the 1992 Oscar ceremony wearing cornrows! The actress, then 19, was nominated for her star turn in the Robert DeNiro film "Cape Fear" and, at the time, she justified her choice of coif by saying that it the night was "wild" and she wanted to be "wild" too.
But, bucking convention is nothing new for the Hollywood native who was emancipated from her parents at age 14. She's an avid (and vocal) Scientologist, dated (and, rumor has it, dumped) Brad Pitt and claims that "Just to buck the system in California, I bought a Mazda for $6,000 when I was 15 without even bothering to get a license."
With a spirit like that, blue hair probably isn't even perceived of as off beat.
What do you think? Did Juliette dye her hair to gain attention at the "Switch" premiere? Or is she just a little wacky?
