Snooki's Bangin' VMAs Hairstyle

While she wasn't wearing meat like a certain Gaga, Snooki did rock a new look at last night's VMAs. Gone was her signature pouf hairstyle and, in its place, long bangs. "It’s definitely a new look, but I think it’s a good look that suits me,” she told People on the white carpet. “I want to look more mature. The pouf—I’ve been wearing it since I was 16, so why not switch it up?”

The erstwhile Nicole Polizzi, who last week was admonished by a judge for being a "Lindsay Lohan wannabe" because of her recent run in with the law following a drunken escapade, did away with the Elvira-esque hairstyle that made her famous and rocked Kim Kardashian fringe. She completed the look with a seriously sultry smoky eye (see how to get the look) and a pale pink matte mouth that's reminiscent of Heather Locklear circa 1983.

There were a couple of holdovers from her old self on that white red carpet -- her signature sneer and fake tan which, as she told reporters, along with "lots of bling" is her "fashion Do."

The 22 year-old reality star may have changed her hair but her fashion sense remained the same -- she caught the eye of many passersby and paparazzi alike in a super-short, one shouldered blue paisley mini dress.

How does she feel about the new hair? Now I have bangs,” she told People. “I haven’t had bangs since I was seven, so this is weird. To be honest with you, I went out right after I got this hair done, and no one recognized me.”
