Even though my hair is fine, I still have a lot of frizzy, wavy texture to manage. This smoothing cream from Suave is the perfect remedy to get rid of frizz without weighing me down. It really is as good as some of the expensive blowout creams that you'd pay ten times the price for. I apply a dime sized amount through the lengths of my hair before drying -- the end result is soft, shiny, frizz-free strands that withstand some of the most humid situations life throws my way.--Hannah Savin
This multitasking serum is a curly-haired girl's dream come true. While I don't actually have curly hair, I do have damaged, frizz-prone waves that are notoriously tough to tame. Lightweight and moisturizing, this serum smoothes flyaways and frizz without leaving my hair greasy or heavy. I love using it on my ends after I'm three days deep into dry shampoo -- you know, when split ends start looking particularly crispy. You can also add it to your shampoo or conditioner for an extra dose of moisture, or mix it with your usual styling product for smoother, silkier strands. --Jill Provost
OK, technically you won't find this conditioner on the shelves of your neighborhood Walgreens, but hear me out. Though this under-the-radar-gem looks like a spendy salon buy (and yes, you can buy it in some salons), it costs less than $10 -- which given how well it performs, is a total steal. The conditioner's heavenly smell will instantly transport you to a swanky salon chair. Then, there's the multitasking formula, which leaves hair feeling as hydrated as if you'd applied a hair mask, as brushable as if you'd used a detangler and as shiny as if you'd spritzed on a hair oil. In other words, it gives my coarse, dry, color-treated ends what they need -- for less than the price of a movie ticket. --Mary Squillace
Since my hair is thick and wavy, I'm lucky in that it doesn't require too much washing. That said, I do have bangs -- which, thanks to my perpetually oily forehead, start to look greasy by day two. Luckily, dry shampoo is the answer to this conundrum, and Batiste's cult favorite formula does the job nicely. It makes my bangs presentable with just a few spritzes, and its fresh, floral scent is quite pleasant. --Rosie Narasaki
Thanks to all the coloring and heat-styling my long locks endure on a regular basis, they need a little TLC every once in a while. This hair mask from Carol's Daughter is exactly what I need once or twice a week. I smooth the fragrant, almond-scented treatment through freshly washed hair from roots to ends, leave on for 20 minutes and rinse. My ends look healthier and my hair is significantly softer, shinier and perfumed with the delicate almond aroma.
