Danielle recommends always washing your dyed locks with cold water to make the color last longer. She also says to figure out what kind of water you have in your town or city, and if the water is hard, to get a water softener to ensure that it won't be harsh on your sanguine new look.

When I was younger, I'd watch my grandmother dye her gray hair every couple of weeks. Now, we're all chomping at the bit to be the grandmothers, grandfathers and grandpeople of our own dreams! If only my grandma could see this trend in action.
So what are you waiting for? Be that sleek silver fox you've always dreamed of... just be careful of shampoos and conditioners with added parabens and plastics. While they're bad for your health in general, Danielle specifically warns us that they can "clog your pores and strip your hair of its color". And who wants that?
