Why: Readers say this product is "expensive and sooo NOT worth the price" and is a "disappointment." It's "very greasy, made my skin really oily, and did nothing to firm or make my skin look better. [If it was] a $70 moisturizer, I would buy it for my nighttime cream, but for the cost of what this is, no way." Another agrees saying, "I'm disappointed that a product of this price point from a company with so many resources could be so profoundly disappointing." She said it was a "heavily perfumed cream with a waxy texture that failed to sink into my skin."

No. 10: Clinique Advanced Stop Signs Eye SPF 15, $32.50
TotalBeauty.com average member rating: 5.2*
Why: Readers say, "this product burned my eyes, [and] made [the area] underneath my eyes red. Now I try a sample of any eye cream before I buy it because of this product!" Another reviewer had a similar experience saying, "when I put this cream on [my eye area, it] would burn real bad. Tried it for about a week and still had the same effect. Also, it dried my eyes out."

No. 9: Skyn Iceland Pure Cloud Cream, $75
TotalBeauty.com average member rating: 5.1*
Why: One woman says, "to be honest, this is just your average lotion packaged well with an interesting consistency. With this amount of money, you can find a better product that will do more for your skin." Another says, "it purports to do a lot, from restoring moisture and reducing discomfort to rebalancing stressed-out skin and healing irritation. [Yet,] while the cream itself is light, it leaves a greasy sheen on your skin that can't be removed with just water, but needs a cleanser to fully come off. Luckily it didn't make me break out or dry out my already sensitive skin -- but I have to say I just don't understand why it would cost $75."

Why: One woman says. "I bought this because I liked most of her other products, especially the pink serum, but this is by far one of the worst moisturizers I've ever used. The consistency is so thick and it's still thick after you apply it on your face, which makes your face look especially oily [as if] you just dipped your face in olive oil." Another agrees saying, "my face looked like a greasy cookie sheet and broke out." One person says, "It's TERRIBLE. It caused me to get a red rash and then break out on top of it. Greasy."

Why: One reader says, "what a disaster. I've tried it. It did not lift or firm anything but simply burn[ed] my skin." Another says, "I am horrified that this replaced the anti-gravity line. It doesn't lift, firm or moisturize my face at all. My face started to droop here and there after using this for one week." And another reviewer says, "this product did not repair or lift for me" and one reader says it "feels heavy and sticky and leaves my eyes puffy. Yuck!"

Are you afraid of aging? It's OK to say yes. It's a legitimate fear for women and men today for more than one reason.

First, thanks to our deteriorating economy, Medicare budgets have been seriously slashed. And second, thanks to global warming and pollution, wrinkles, lines and spots are showing up even earlier. This second factor is why we all continuously spend a couple bucks (OK hundreds -- don't judge) on anti-aging skin care products. We're desperate to hold on to our youth.

See the worst anti-aging products now.

And while some products really do reduce fine lines and diminish age spots, many of the potions and creams available are as good as a smoke screen for a bad magic show. And when these anti-aging products masquerade as our friends, making grandiose claims of turning back time on our face, but don't follow through, we get really upset.

Well, to help save you from getting hurt by these products that don't deliver, we're here to share a list of the anti-aging items our readers have tried, tested and rejected. Check them out and be sure you don't spend another dime on a lying, ahem, disappointing anti-aging skin care product ever again.
