Why: Readers turned their noses up at the scent of this product: "I got a sample of this and was so excited to try it out. But after applying it to my face I was completely disgusted by the smell. I don't know what this is 'supposed' to do for your skin, but the smell makes me not care. There are other serums you can use to get that silky feel that don't make you gag when you put them on." Another agrees saying she "could not keep this product [on] long enough ... to see any effects. I had to wash it twice to get the smell to go away." One woman could handle the scent, but didn't see results: "With this one I can honestly say that it did nothing to my skin after using it for six weeks ... I even took pictures of my face."

Why: Readers say the product irritated their skin making it "red and itchy, which negates any beneficial ingredients in it." Another says, "I tried using this once and had to stop, [because it made my] face start to itch and feel dry." One woman says "the worst part was that it didn't truly sink into my skin -- when I touch my face, the lotion balls up and rolls off!! Gross. I washed it off right away. Overall, this isn't a product worth paying for." Another reader agrees saying, "there are much better skin care choices on the drugstore shelf."

Are you afraid of aging? It's OK to say yes. It's a legitimate fear for women and men today for more than one reason.

First, thanks to our deteriorating economy, Medicare budgets have been seriously slashed. And second, thanks to global warming and pollution, wrinkles, lines and spots are showing up even earlier. This second factor is why we all continuously spend a couple bucks (OK hundreds -- don't judge) on anti-aging skin care products. We're desperate to hold on to our youth.

See the worst anti-aging products now.

And while some products really do reduce fine lines and diminish age spots, many of the potions and creams available are as good as a smoke screen for a bad magic show. And when these anti-aging products masquerade as our friends, making grandiose claims of turning back time on our face, but don't follow through, we get really upset.

Well, to help save you from getting hurt by these products that don't deliver, we're here to share a list of the anti-aging items our readers have tried, tested and rejected. Check them out and be sure you don't spend another dime on a lying, ahem, disappointing anti-aging skin care product ever again.
