A Fashionable Film Buff's Dream Closet

Kimberly Truhler, the blogger and vintage clothing designer behind GlamAmor, shares her fashion wishlist
1. Reiss Large Collar Overcoat in Camel, $660

Every woman deserves a dreamy camel coat and this one from Reiss works overtime. Whether worn wide open or buttoned up, it gives you different silhouettes to match with different outfits. The gorgeous darting in front and back makes sure this outerwear never overwhelms your figure.

2. Leisure Society Swanbourne Sunglasses, $920
Few frames are as flattering and timeless as the cats-eye -- think of Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's alone -- and Leisure Society spoils us with their luxurious Swanbourne. Truth be told, it's hard to choose a color when they offer it in classic black as well as fall-friendly tortoise shell in both blonde and burgundy.

3. Oscar de la Renta Sleeveless Pencil Dress, $1,790
For those who love classic style, Oscar de la Renta sets your heart racing. This dress shows some of what sets him apart -- a deceptively simple shape made special with a gathered waist that happens to flatter just about every figure. There's also its color -- a shocking citrine that looks good with a surprising range of skin tones and hair colors, and lets you stand out in today's sea of basic black.

4. Dolce & Gabbana Leopard Multiband Sandal, $1,195
Fall is the season to begin working animal prints into your wardrobe. Shoes are a great place to start, and these Italian leopard stilettos from Dolce & Gabbana are so sexy that they're nearly impossible to resist. Watch how wearing them transforms any number of neglected basics in your closet along with much of what's new for fall.

5. Balenciaga Large Chain Bracelet, $525
Few jewelry classics endure as well as a gold chain bracelet, and this modern take from Balenciaga is spot on. Simple yet sophisticated, lavish yet ladylike -- the style goes with positively everything from denim to dresses.

6. The Row Wonlo Paneled Stretch Leather Dress, $3,450
Because I love wearing color so much, it's actually rare to see me in a black dress. If I do, there has to be something special about it. This short-sleeve LBD from The Row adheres to my minimalist style with its stunning simplicity, while also impressing me with the quality of both its fabric and fit.

7. Mark Cross Grace Trunk Bag, $1,695
Few can forget the famous scene in Rear Window when Grace Kelly cleverly invites herself to stay with a demonstration of her Mark Cross overnight bag. To every woman's delight, the brand is now back with the aptly named 'Grace' in various sizes AND colors that range from red to yellow to orange (sigh ... a favorite). Because I'm a purist though, I have to start my collection with the iconic bag in black.

8. Judith Leiber Aurelie Crocodile Clutch, $7,995
Judith Leiber's Aurelie clutch truly elevates fashion to a work of art. This bag evokes the same admiration as sculpture, whether held in your hand or resting on a table. Sleek and sexy, it is also incredibly classic with hints of Art Deco in the design. It's elegant for evening events, of course, but could easily work as a dressier daytime clutch as well.

9. Valentino Jumpsuit, $2,980
For events, I love turning to the sensual style of the 1930s. Though this usually means slinky bias-cut gowns, this backless silk jumpsuit from Valentino also fits the bill. It modernizes the silhouette made famous first by actresses like Jean Harlow (and later Halston in the 1970s), and is perfect to turn up the heat at holiday events.

10. Victoria Beckham Icon 3/4 Sleeve Wrap Dress, $2,450
My classic style is all about clean lines and color, and Victoria Beckham's collections never disappoint. Her timeless (and appropriately named) 'Icon' dress possesses that and then some with 3/4 length sleeves that make it flirty, and a yellow that's perfect for fall. Even better, it seems quite seasonless and I know I'd keep reaching for it throughout the spring as well.

11. Gianvito Rossi Patent Pointed-Toe Pump, $620
As I've learned from many a Hitchcock Heroine -- Grace Kelly, Kim Novak, Tippi Hedren -- nothing mixes a ladylike look with a suggestion of sex better than a pair of black pumps. Patent leather amps up the style here without adding any distracting details. You'd be hard-pressed to think of a bigger favorite in fashion, and the beautiful design of this Gianvito Rossi does the classic (and its wearer) proud.
