Ok, first it needs to be stated that we do not endorse, support, or approve of purposeful skin care neglect. We do however understand, sympathize for, and commiserate with the woman who has too much on her metaphorical plate. Squeezing in facials and obsessing over a strict anti-aging routine takes serious amounts of "me"-time. Who's got that? Truth is, many of us don't.
Recently we posed this question in a blog post: What Three Wishes Would You Ask Your Natural Beauty Genie For? (Well, If One Actually Existed.) We got an overwhelming amount of responses from you. There were surprisingly lots of feet-related wishes (go figure), but unsurprisingly a ton of perfect-skin requests. As we scrolled through the comments, we were nodding and agreeing right along with you. Some actually even made us tear up (OK, we may have been PMSing, but nonetheless), like this one:
Eye makeup has been evolving since around 10,000 B.C. from a number of civilizations and cultural uses ranging from reducing sun glare to burial rituals to restoring eye sight. Nowadays, whether we want to test out a new trend, have our makeup reflect our mood, complement our outfit, or make a statement -- we wear eye makeup pretty much for aesthetic purposes. We use eyeshadow to play up our eye color, add dimension and depth to our eyes or just attract attention to them. And, eyeshadow no longer comes in just a basic powder form, you can find it in a mousse, liquid and even a crayon form -- and in more colors and textures than you could possibly dream up.
