There's no shortage of models with tattoos these days. From simple to bold and from just one to many, models aren't afraid of showing off their creative side with some unique ink. Read on to see some of our favorite tattoos and find out what inspired the pieces.

Behati Prinsloo
Victoria's Secret Angel Behati Prinsloo has a few tattoos, but we're kind of obsessed with her "you're so cool, you're so cool, you're so cool" tattoo. The pretty cursive words sit on her side, and hubby Adam Levine has a matching one on his bicep. Although the model never revealed exactly what the tattoo means, we can take a guess. Few couples are as cool as these two.

Cara Delevingne
When thinking of models with tattoos, it's impossible not to think of Cara Delevingne. She's no stranger to the needle. She's even given some tattoos herself! Cara's up to 27 tattoos now, and it's hard to pick just one favorite, but we have to go with the one that started it all: the lion face on her finger. She reportedly asked for the word "lion" on her finger, but tattoo artist Bang Bang convinced her to go with the face and worked from a reference photo of a real lion.

Chanel Iman
No models with tattoos have a tattoo as unique as Chanel Iman's. She has a simple clothing hanger on the back of her neck with her own name printed underneath. When asked about its meaning, Iman stated simply, "You put clothes on a hanger, and you put clothes on a model. It represents being a model."

Erin Wasson
Erin Wasson is no tattoo amateur. This model's up to 16 tattoos that we know of. We love the geometric, Native American-inspired arrow design on the back of her left arm. The black ink is broken up with some simple white detailing that really makes the image pop. In the past, Wasson has claimed that she walks into a tattoo parlor and thinks up an idea on the spot. We wonder if that was the case here.

Gisele Bundchen
It might surprise some people to see Gisele Bundchen on a list of models with tattoos. This gorgeous Brazilian's tattoos are quite small. She has subtle star on the inside of her left wrist to represent a shooting star in honor of her grandmother.

Jourdan Dunn
Jourdan Dunn doesn't shy away from big, bold ink. All of her tattoos have powerful meanings, including the matching "DD" she has with BFF Cara Delevingne. Our favorite, however, is the hamsa hand on her right forearm. It's believed to bring peace and success as well as protection from the evil eye to the wearer.

Kendall Jenner
Although not as inked up as younger sister Kylie, Kendall does have a few small tattoos of her own. It may be pretty hidden, but how cute is the "meow" tattoo on the inside of her lip? She's admitted that it has no real meaning and was just done for fun. We can get on board with that.

Bella Hadid
Not one to let her friends have all the fun, the younger Hadid sister recently joined the models with tattoos club. She got two tiny wing tattoos, one on each ankle. Perhaps they're a permanent reminder of her time as a Victoria's Secret Angel.

Karmen Pedaru
We can't get enough of this Estonian beauty's "A=X+Y+Z" tattoo! She was inspired by Albert Einstein, who said, "If A equals success, then the formula is A equals X plus Y plus Z, with X being work, Y play, and Z keeping your mouth shut." Doesn't get much more motivational or true than that!

Kate Moss
No list of models is complete without Kate Moss. Kate's bird tattoos on her lower back were done by late artist Lucian Freud. After explaining that he used to do homemade tattoos when he was in the Navy, the painter offered to do one on the model. How do you pass that up?
