Fairytale fans have been waiting on spindles and needles for the live-action, somewhat twisted version of "Sleeping Beauty" to hit theaters ever since Disney announced nearly five years ago that they'd do the story from the antagonist's point of view and that Angelina Jolie would lend her considerable talent (and beauty) to the production.

Now that "Maleficent," with Jolie in the lead role and Elle Fanning as the ill-fated princess, is gearing up for release (it's vying for boffo Memorial Day box office), merchandising tie-ins are beginning to materialize.

For beauty fans, perhaps none is more exciting than MAC's Maleficent Collection, which, with its bold, blood red lipstick, ridiculously long false lashes and sinister black nail lacquer, promises to deliver sinfully indulgent satisfaction.

Coming in June, the 15-piece makeup collection includes a lipstick, lip-gloss, lip pencil, two 4-pot eye palettes, an eyeliner, a brow pencil, a sculpting powder, a translucent powder, a priming highlighter, false lashes and three shades of nail polish.

Like the movie, the collection is dark, mysterious, striking and very, very intoxicating.
