This October, M.A.C. is changing the game for everyone with its latest release: the new M.A.C. Powder Kiss lipsticks. 

It's shaping up to be quite the innovative new lippie: It promises the intense color payoff of lipstick paired with the comfy feel of lip balm, all topped off with a coveted, of-the-moment powdery matte finish. Oh, and did we mention it's non-drying? There will be 15 colors in the collection, ranging from the softest of nudes to the brightest of oranges.

Although the product won't be making its official debut until October 11, a lot of M.A.C.'s makeup artists have been giving little sneak peeks on Instagram, even describing the new lip formula as the "forefront of beauty and technology." It also made a few surprise appearances backstage at New York Fashion Week.

"The powder kiss lipstick formula rose from the backstage technique of putting on lipstick, blotting it off, and feathering it with a brush to create the most beautiful, effortlessly blurred finish," said M.A.C. Director of Makeup Artistry Terry Barber to Hello Magazine. "It's truly color and finely-tuned conditioning in one product."

We're thinking it'll be absolutely perfect for creating the gorgeous blurry, sheer matte lip look we've been seeing everywhere lately. And who knows? It might just be a new contender our list of the best lipsticks ever.
