Double Decker Wing Tip Eyeliner: You Like?

Dior Cruise made quite the splash with both the couture and the new twist on an old eye makeup favorite

Dior's new image and creative director Peter Philips, formerly of Chanel, was backstage Wednesday night when Raf Simons' Cruise 2015 line hit the runways of a Brooklyn venue and the resulting reviews of the "French chic tinged with Belgian iconoclasm" show have been wholeheartedly positive.

Also striking a note with many of the thousand (or so) invitees, was the alluring eye look Philips sent his models down the runway wearing. For the uninitiated, this is the first time in recent memory that makeup goddess Pat McGrath was not at the helm of a Dior show, so as Philips stepped up to the plate, a lot was at stake.

Since dubbed the "double decker," Philips, as NYMag reports, drew " an upper lash line that was straight across and slightly winged, while the bottom lash's line started midway through. The gap between the two lines created an architectural, space-edged eye."

The result? A classy yet avant-guard look that anyone who's had it with the expected or humdrum can attempt -- and likely pull off -- with only a minimal amount of effort.

Is this double-deckered look something you'd be likely (ready, willing or able) to give a go? Or do you prefer to keep your eye makeup less showy?
