Kate Bosworth Debuts Her New TopShop Collection

Plus Karl Lagerfeld's Choupette collection, Jil Sander steps down, and more of the top stories of the day

• Kate Bosworth just launched her second amazing collection for TopShop, and it's a doozy. The 46-piece collection is full of leather, leather, leather, in metallics and glossy whites. "The collection is tailored and classic," said Bosworth. "For fall, we wanted to create luxurious pieces with a strong minimalist approach. Slim silhouettes are cloaked in a masculine shape, staying true to the mix of masculine/feminine balance that exists in my personal aesthetic." But will it make us look like Kate Bosworth? • Jil Sander is in, then she's out, then she's in, now she's out again. The designer behind the eponymous brand announced on Thursday that she's leaving once more. • It's in the meow mix! Karl Lagerfeld may not love solid foods, but he does love himself some Diet Coke and his kitten Choupette. So much so, that he created a Choupette capsule collection, a black and white mini-colleciton of knit hats, purses, and phone cases tricked out to look like Karl's one true love. Purr genius. [WWD]

• After Barney's was accused of racially profiling a black customer who was in the store on Monday purchasing a belt, a petition has been launched, urging Jay Z to end his affiliation with the retailer. He's in the midst of a pretty extensive collaboration with Barneys, which involves working with Balenciaga, Proenza Schouler, and Rick Owens. The petition says that "Jay Z should be appalled by Barneys actions, and withdraw all support from them. If he does this, he will send a clear message to all corporations that are likeminded, that this behavior cannot be tolerated any longer." [Racked]
