Hold the Phone! bareMinerals is Launching a Liquid Foundation

The company responsible for the mineral coverage revolution has gone coconuts

Time flies. It's been 20 (twenty) years since bareMinerals burst on the beauty scene and convinced us all that mineral makeup was what had long been missing from our arsenals.

Now that the novelty, allure and cachet has waned a bit, bareMinerals is looking to entice you -- and your face -- once again. This time with a liquid foundation.

As counter-intuitive as that may seem coming from a company so seemingly diametrically opposed to the concept of a liquid, bareMinerals BareSkin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation is sure to do the brand proud.

Synthetic, alcohol, fragrance, silicone, oil, paraben and even water free, these foundations are little more than mineral pigments suspended in coconut alkane, ("The only ingredient that didn't dilute the brightening [properties] and didn't clog pores," Sarina Godin, VP of Product Development explains) the result of which is a surprisingly natural, bright-looking finish.

The formulation also contains skin brightening vitamin C and plant stem cells and, thanks to an ingenious liquid-through-bristles delivery application system, allows you to put it on without having to touch your face with your fingers.

Look for bareMinerals BareSkin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 20, available in 20 shades for $29 each, to hit shelves May 1.
