What Causes Arm Acne?
Arm acne is caused by the same kinds of problems that lead to other acne. Typically, it will occur if the pores of the skin on your arms get clogged or inflamed. This type of problem happens when your pores trap oil and dead skin cells on the arms. However, pimples on the arms are sometimes caused by improperly cleaning your bed linen.

Failure to regularly clean your sheets can lead to acne because these sheets will be filled with sweat and dead skin cells. This regular direct contact heavily affects your pores. As a result, your arms may suffer from acne. Thankfully, it is relatively easy to manage this problem.

Managing This Problem
Managing the acne on your arms is a relatively simple process. It requires you to identify where the pimples are beginning and then to apply proper treatment methods. When you see acne on your arms, start washing that area carefully every day. In this way, you can break apart the buildup in these areas.

When taking a shower, use an acne cream on your arms. This cream should include salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide for maximum effectiveness. Massage the acne for at least 10 seconds to work it into your skin. After finishing, rinse it off, dry, and get out of the shower.

After leaving the shower, spread a clear acne gel on your arms. Showering with hot water opens your pores and increases the chance of breaking apart the pimples. Another application after you are dry may further help eliminate problems. The solution you use should be 2.5% benzoyl peroxide.

Let your pimples soak in this liquid until it dries. You can either end the process here or spread a 10% alpha-hydroxy lotion directly on the pimples. Once this gel has dried, you can get dressed using natural fiber items that are loose enough to avoid trapping sweat against your arms.
