How To Prevent Blackheads

Tips for keeping your complexion smooth and blackhead free

Diet is another key factor that helps prevent blackheads. Avoid foods that are high in carbohydrates and fats, as these contribute to increased sebum production. Steer towards fresh fruits, vegetables, and natural oils such as coconut oil, avocadoes and olives. These will increase moisture in the skin and help regenerate the production of new skin cells.

Drinking lots of water will also help cleanse your skin and remove toxins that have built up inside. Supplements such as Niacin are great for flushing your system of toxins, and Beta Carotene and Vitamin E are essential vitamins for healing your skin as well as stimulating the growth of new skin cells. These in turn will help prevent blackheads, because your skin will not produce excess sebum that leads to blocked pore formation.

Added note--- nose strips are not for everyone and over-exfoliation can be just as unsightly as blackheads if not more.
