    Great texture

After trying another Garnier putty and hating it, my husband and I tried this one and we both really like it. He has short hair and I have long, layered, fine but thick hair that I like to wear loosely curled or go with my natural wave. I also have bangs that i sweep to the side and use this to get them to stay swept and prevent those flyaways from tickling my forehead. If you're looking for a ...read moreproduct that provides that piecey look, dry but still textured, and light hold without being crunchy, sticky, or greasy, then try this one. If I rush and try to put it in my hair without really rubbing it into my hands first, pieces can clump in my hair. But I just take a little extra time and get it all worked into my hands and it's not a problem for me.

Looks like I came from the beach

I love that I can just put some of this creme in my hair and I don't have to deal with it.

    Disappointing

I bought this thinking that my hair was going to look piece-y. I thought it was worth a try since it's $3. Even though it's $3, I plan not to buy it in the future. I have thin, straight hair and it did absolutely nothing except make it tangled. The only thing that I partially liked about this product was that it made styling my bangs a little easier.

    Love this stuff

I have layered long hair. I add just before my hair is dry, then dry it fully. Then I use hot rollers and my hair stays bouncy, thick and beautiful all through my hectic work day.

you have to figure out how to use it

i used to swear by John Frieda Beach Blonde Ocean Waves Sea Spray, but it's been discontinued:(. I replaced it with this paste and have been pretty content with the results. i've been using this for about 2 years. i have very long, very layered hair. most products just weigh my hair down and make it look greasy, but i really like this product--somehow if i apply it to clean hair, my hair can actua...read morelly last longer between showers. I apply it to dry hair, just the tips, and just rub whatever's left on my hand into the roots to add a little volume. i've just started using hairspray first to add volume, then i use this paste to separate my layers and add texture. its super cheap and achieves the look im going for...piecey, beachy, textured layers.

    Not for long hair

I have had this product for a few years and I use it every once in a while for a different look. It works well with short, texturized haircuts, but it is best applied to the ends of dry hair. With long hair, it tends to weigh it down, so it is best applied to the ends of very layered hair. The achieved look is cute and piecey, but not so "beachy."

    ick

This product didn't do anything good for me. I applied it to my short curly hair, and all it did was make it stiff and sticky. This stuff is really hard to wash out too - be warned!

    Really good Stuff!

If you've tried Jonathan's Dirt styling product, this is just as good if not better and a lot less expensive.
