A Top Primer
Smashbox primers are great! I have tried a bunch of them. Currently I am using the purple primer. It is the primer for brightning. I have also tried the clear, green and bronze primers. Great for pale skin with olive undertones (purple) but pricey.
I used the purple color correcting primer underneath my foundation to combat the yellow and green undertones of my pale but olive skin. I have dry/combination skin, and found the silicone base a great start for foundation. It's Extra Help

Green Primer Use
I have rosacea so I need a green base before I put on my makeup. This just doesn't do what I thought it was going to do. Of course everyone has there own they like, but when I put on a primer, I don't want it to feel like I'm putting on oil; I want it to feel light and airy. I feel ambiguous about this primer. The first time I used it,I could not blend my foundation over it. The primer and my liquid foundation basically coagulated into a chunky mess and started flaking off. I thought it was probably because I didn't wait long enough for it to set in first before I applied the foundation.
