Walking around backstage at NYFW, it's apparent that you're in the company of the industry's most talented makeup artists, hairstylists and nail techs. These are people who have reached the top of the game and have been given the responsibility of helping each designer — who's invested countless dollars at this point — bring their collection to life. Much like Fenty Beauty and CoverGirl, Target is making the push for more diversity in its beauty department — and it's taking its first step by including more makeup for people with darker skin tones. It recently curated several indie beauty brands, many of which were founded by women of color.
While there are some truly outrageous beauty moments from the runway that wouldn't translate well on the sidewalk, there's an equal number of downright gorgeous looks that everyday people can draw inspiration from.
