Like magpies, we're drawn to things that sparkle and shine. So, naturally, we were excited to see gilded eye makeup pop up at the runway presentations of designers like Jason Wu. Bronze shades are perfect for creating a spring-ready bold eye, and they look especially stunning against tawny skin tones and blue eyes. Wear this look on a Friday night out for cocktails -- and get ready to turn heads.

After prepping your face with primer, apply a medium-coverage foundation stick, concentrating on areas of uneven tone. Camouflage any blemishes by dotting on concealer and patting with your finger to blend. Add subtle contours to your face by brushing bronzer on the temples, hollows of cheeks, and down the jawline and sides of the nose.

Amp up the Shimmer
Give the shimmer some added oomph with the warm gold shades on the top right and bottom left of the Sonia Kashuk Eye Quad (inset) in Bronzed Beauty, patting them on top of the cream shadow with a small brush. Highlight the brow bone and inner corner with the top left shade, a light bronze with super-fine shimmer.

Wing 'Em Out
Take a pointed detail brush and, with the bottom right (chocolate brown) shadow in the palette, run it along the crease of the eye, adding definition. Then, "wing" out the shadow by tracing a sideways "V" from the outer third of your eyelid crease to just past the eye's outer corner and back to the lower lash line. Then, trace another sideways "V" from the outer third of your crease to just past the eye's outer corner and back to the upper lash line.

Get a Sunny-Looking Flush
Sweep a shimmery, peachy-pink blush from the apples of the cheeks to the hairline. Then, take the bronzer in the duo and dust it on places where the sun hits your face: the forehead, nose, chin and cheekbones.
