No need to turn on the oven

You know that feeling in the height of summer when it's too dang hot to turn on the oven but you have a craving for a proper, decadent, homemade dessert? (Not fro-yo again.) We're not complaining about the hot weather, but it doesn't help with our sweet cravings. If you've reached the stage when you have chocolaty, rich, fruity goodness on your mind, we have the solution: no-bake desserts. The raw desserts and snacks will satisfy your sweet tooth in a way another ice cream cone can't.

Even better? They're healthy-ish (by dessert standards), thanks to wholesome ingredients. And most of the raw desserts set up in the fridge or freezer, so they tend to be delightfully refreshing. Basically, consider the no-bake desserts as much of a summer must-have as sunscreen or an iced coffee. Click through the gallery to see all the drool-inducing no-bake desserts and snacks that don't involve turning on the oven.

This chia parfait is a yummy option for when you're looking for something a bit more substantial and virtuous than ice cream. Oat milk and yogurt keep it vegan, while coconut sugar adds a touch of sweetness. Have it for breakfast, have it for dessert, or have it any time the mood strikes.
