3 Makeup Artists on the New Beauty Products They're Pumped About

They're excited, we're excited, everyone's excited!
"I knew when I saw these, I needed them; biodegradable brushes are just too cool," says Helen Phillips, national makeup artist for the brand. "This set of brushes will last a long time, but when you are done with them, just break off the handles and they will biodegrade! Not only will your makeup thank you, but so will Mother Earth. It's a no brainer!" The set includes a foundation, powder, concealer, shadow, and small shadow brush, which covers most of the bases and makes it perfect for a set to carry on the go.

While perusing Sephora's shelves, makeup artist Lauren D'Amelio says she decided to try this new bronzer from Charlotte Tilbury since she's such a big fan of the brand. It was love at first swipe: "The texture of it is extremely soft and smooth and the colors are very pretty, as well. It comes in four shades: fair, medium, tan, and deep," she says. "I purchased the tan and love the color payoff. It is very pigmented; a little goes a long way and it blends seamlessly with other makeup or on its own to give your face a little definition without looking too heavy. It also helps blur imperfections in the skin while giving the skin warmth." Though expensive, it's a really large compact that's really loaded up with product, so it'll last you.

If you're in the market for a new blush, then consider going cream, says Phillips. "Cream blushes are one of those secrets that makeup artists always use; it allows you to adjust the intensity and melts into the cheeks to look like skin," she explains. Her current fave? Fenty Beauty's Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Blush. She says, "I can't get enough of this formula. The super flexible coverage allows you to do a slight glow to full-on blushing. My favorite shade is Summertime Wine, which is universal and works on fair to deep skin tones."

Most makeup artists will tell you that the key to a snatched face is skin care, so don't skimp on that part of the process. D'Amelio says, "As a makeup artist, it is super important to have good skin to work with so that makeup doesn't fall into the fine lines or wrinkle."

Right now she's stoked about these eye masks from Steel Skin, which are part of skinfluencer John Steel's spring 2020 launch. "He is extremely educated in the skin care world, so when I found out he was launching these eye masks I just could not wait to try them. They are truly worth the hype. You can see a visible difference after just one use," D'Amelio says. "The undereye area can be tricky, especially if they are not hydrated enough, and these eye masks help to plump the skin with a seaweed extract packed with vitamins and minerals."

Speaking of eyes, let's dish on some new eyeshadow that's got D'Amelio amped. "I'm always on the hunt for a good neutral eyeshadow palette. I own dozens of eyeshadow palettes, and with most of them I only really use a few shadows out of the entire palette. That can be frustrating — especially for the cost of some of them," she says. "[However], I use every color in the Supreme Nudes eyeshadow palette! The shadows are very pigmented, and the colors all work beautifully with one another. The packaging is also very different from other palettes I own; it has sleek black packaging and is easy to open, clean, and travel with. Artist Couture products never disappoint."
