Mani of the Week: Oil Slick Stars
Created by: @nailsfromnars

Why we love it: We've got something of a soft spot for starry nail art — and this oil slick, iridescent version is particularly unique (not to mention gorgeous!).

To get the look: If you're feeling ambitious, blend a few sparkly metallic hues over black to achieve the oil slick effect. If you're not feeling ambitious, well, you could always grab an iridescent duochrome polish such as Orly Breathable Treatment + Color in Freudian Flip, $9.99, and get to painting those stars!

Mani of the Week: Pearlescent Unicorn Nails
Created by: @hallebnails

Why we love it: This unicorn manicure looks just like an iridescent soap bubble! Consider us obsessed.

To get the look: Nail artist Halle Butler used a variety of shades to create the iridescent look, including a shimmery teal, a milky coral, a pale slate and a geranium pink, all pulled together with an iridescent pink shimmer (we're guessing it's Essie Nail Polish in Bonbon Nuit, $9, a gorgeous shade from the brand's winter 2020 collection).

Mani of the Week: Chess Board Nails
Created by: @betina_goldstein

Why we love it: Who else has binge-watched "The Queen's Gambit?" Between the mod costuming, the nail-biting chess matches and, of course, Anya Taylor-Joy's riveting performance, we definitely fell hard for the show. At any rate, this checkers board (or chess board, as we're preferring to view it) manicure is the perfect way to pay homage.

To get the look: Nail artist Betina Goldstein created this stylish look using Chanel Boy De Chanel Nail Colour, $28, in Black, along with Chanel Le Vernis Nail Colour, $28, in Ballerina.

Mani of the Week: Cheery Skulls
Created by: @buffcsjen

Why we love it: We love Halloween nail art — especially when it's this cute! What with the bright hues and the floral motif, these skulls are downright cheery.

To get the look: Grab some of your favorite saturated shades for the flowers and leaves and grab a great black and white for the skulls. May we recommend Essie Nail Polish, $8.99, in Blanc and Licorice? Oh, and don't forget your precision brush!

Mani of the Week: Disco French Tips
Created by: @avivaatri

Why we love it: We're always here for a good French tip with a twist — and this disco-themed take is especially delicious.

To get the look: Designer/illustrator-cum-nail artist Aviva Atri used the blingy new Olive and June Nail Polish in Exclamation Point, $8, for this sparkly, sparkly look.

Nail art is one of those photogenic beauty trends that we could look at all day long. Somehow, scrolling through photos of nail art designs whipped up by nail art icons like Deborah Lippmann, Jin Soon and Paintbox is simply addictive — whether we plan to execute the nail design ideas or not.

That's why we're bringing you our #ManicureMonday series — where we show you the simple nail art, endless nail design ideas and other ridiculously pretty nails that we're finding and loving.
