"Green eyes are enhanced by -- and look best in -- in browns and dark browns," says makeup artist Claudia Lake, who counts Megan Fox and Gabrielle Union among her celebrity clients. "Achieving a natural look is easy if you stay in the brown family using powder shadows, cream shadows, pencils and liners."

Lake points to ruddy brown as a great eye makeup for green eyes. Here, Julianne Moore uses this warm neutral to add depth around her lash line and in her crease.

If you thought blue eye makeup was a relic of the '90s, think again: Cool, steely blues are back, and they look awesome on green eyes. Lake says she loves to apply navy and periwinkle makeup shades on clients with hazel eyes.

For a glitzy navy eye like Lucy Hale's, apply a shimmery blue shadow like Nars Dual-Intensity Eyeshadow in Giove. Smoke it up with a bit of black shadow on the top and bottom lash lines, and add a set of false lashes on top.
