If Your Favorite Wine Is Sauvignon Blanc
Why: New Zealand sauvignon blancs are known for their grassy quality as well as their "grapefruit skin" and "yellow citrus" aromas, says Copeland. That's why sauvignon blanc fans will fall for citrusy-green Vetyverio. It opens with light grapefruit, lemon and mandarin notes and dries down to a heady blend of cedar, vetiver and musk.

Why: "Orange blossom and vanilla make me think of delicious Sauternes," says Copeland. If you can't get enough of this floral dessert wine from Bordeaux, you'll gravitate to Lancome's new flanker to La Vie Est Belle. It's a sweet floriental featuring notes of orange blossom, bergamot, white flowers, vanilla and sandalwood.

Why: Austrian Riesling is the ideal counterpoint to spicy cuisines like Thai, says Copeland. So, if you love Riesling, sniff out a sweet fragrance with a tinge of these exotic flavors. Dent de Lait -- which translates to "milk tooth" -- has notes of almond milk, coconut, white musk and frankincense.

Why: This elegant floral perfume has a profile much like a classic California cab. "Clove and cinnamon with cassis sounds like a great match for high-end Napa cabernet," Copeland says. Those spices, plus magnolia and rose, are at the perfume's heart; its fruity top notes (mandarin orange and bergamot, in addition to cassis) are balanced by earthy sandalwood and moss at the base.
