Amy Adams
Long, straight hair worn down can often look a little blah. But Adams shows how a deep side part and a sleek, behind-the-ear tuck can look so chic and dressed-up. To recreate this look, Thomas recommends a good blow-out to smooth the hair and keep it close to the scalp. To do this, brush and blow-dry each side of your hair in the direction of your part to really smooth it out. Once your part is in place, tuck one side behind your ear and secure with a bobby pin that matches your hair color. Finish with a light-hold spray like Origins Ain't Misbehavin' Lightweight Hair Spray, $15.

Ginnifer Goodwin
Straight hair looks awesome short, as Goodwin proves here. Not only is her look adorable, and runway and red carpet-worthy, it's super easy to maintain and keep healthy. To get a chic chop-job like this one, Thomas recommends asking your stylist for a cut with less texture and a sweet part on the side. You want more of a Twiggy look and less of a pixie cut that will require a lot of product to maintain.

Jenny McCarthy and Heidi Klum
Straight hair looks great in the long bob McCarthy and Klum are sporting here. The key to this cut is staying away from a lot of layers and texture, so hair is almost all one length. Too much layering on straight hair can really show off breakage and make hair look dull and lifeless.

Tyra Banks and Alyssa Milano
Banks and Milano look smokin' in blunt bangs, which continue to be a strong trend. What's great is that bangs work best on hair that's sleek and straight. And, they are the easiest way to update your look without breaking the bank or losing overall length. Check out this video to learn how to trim them yourself.

Kristen Bell
Add snazzy flair to a basic sleek updo by wearing a headband like Bell shows here. Headbands are a great way to add interest to hair that doesn't have texture (wave or curl to it). And, judging by the Spring 2010 runway shows, they remain on the "hot hair accessory" list.

When it comes to having straight or curly hair, a lot of women seem to want what they can't have; straight-haired ladies love the curling iron and curly gals reach for the flat iron. Well, this year is all about working what you've got, which means straight-haired women of the world, unite -- it's time to start celebrating your sleek strands.
