Michelle Obama
Her bob haircut
Michelle's go-to hairstyle starts with a great cut that can be worn several different ways. Her longtime stylist, Rahni Flowers of Chicago's Van Cleef Salon, gently layers the hair around her face to add movement and volume to her classic, blunt-cut bob. Read these hairstyle tips to see if this style will work with your face shape.

Her brows
Well-maintained, perfectly arched brows make Michelle look younger in part because her brow color is about two shades lighter than her hair color, says MAC Cosmetics senior makeup artist Romero Jennings. Her sleek hairstyle
If you have naturally curly or kinky hair, the least-damaging way to straighten it is to blow-dry hair with a comb attachment, says hair stylist Dickey, whose celebrity clients include Michelle Obama. Before styling, use a sulfate-free shampoo (try Hair Rules Daily Cleansing Cream, $22) to minimize the dryness your hair texture is prone to, and a leave-in conditioner or heat protectant to seal in moisture and buffer heat, he says.

Her second-day style

(Dickey's tip: To preserve straightened styles, sleep with hair wrapped in a silk scarf.) Get 17 more quick hairstyle ideas here.

If you share Michelle's hair texture, your hair should offer built-in volume, Dickey says. After you prep hair with heat protectant (find a highly rated one here), completely dry hair with this blow-drying technique. Then flatiron hair in small sections. "The smaller the sections, the less effort [overall]," Dickey says. Finish with a lightweight moisturizer or glossing cream (try Fekkai Glossing Cream, $20) that will tame flyaways.
