Step three: Curl
Divide hair into two-inch sections and curl each section around a medium curling iron (try Conair Instant Heat 3/4" Curling Iron, $13.99. Once curls are set, lightly brush them out with your fingers.

Step four: Pin up
Separate a one-inch section at the front of your head and create a front-side part (away from the rest of your hair). Pin in place with a bobby pin. Taking the back section, gather hair into a half ponytail and let pieces fall out naturally. Pin in place with bobby pins that point at a 45-degree angle toward the crown of your head. (This keeps the pins in place better.) Use a hair accessory to accent the look if you like. (View our gallery for glamorous inspiration.)

Secure the look with a few spritzes of light hairspray (like Dove Flexible Hold Aerosol Hairspray, $4.29).
