Sienna Miller

A supporter of sustainable, fair-trade clothing, Miller owns a carbon-neutral clothing line, Twenty8Twelve. The Environmental Media Association (EMA) Futures Award winner also promotes and raises awareness of carbon emissions as an ambassador for UK-based Global Cool, a campaign to address global warming.

Hayden Panettiere

The "Heroes" star and campaign spokesperson for Save the Whales Again made headlines when she protested with a group of surfers to stop local fisherman from killing pilot whales in southwestern Japan. Her efforts garnered her the Wyler Prize at the 2008 Genesis Awards by the Humane Society of the United States (as well as an arrest warrant in Japan). She also supports the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), a global conservation organization.

Alicia Silverstone

The vegan actress, who generated a lot of attention for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) by posing nude in a racy ad for vegetarianism, lives in an eco-friendly house, doesn't wear animal products and only buys goods from companies that never test on animals. In addition to setting up a rescued-pet sanctuary in Los Angeles, she's a supporter of PETA's Save the Sheep and Cows are Cool campaigns.

Angelina Jolie

In addition to being Goodwill Ambassador for the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), Jolie helped musician Wyclef Jean with Project Clean Streets, an initiative to collect garbage on a regular basis in six municipalities in metropolitan Port-au-Prince, Haiti. She also donated millions of dollars toward a wildlife sanctuary in the northwestern province of Battambang in Cambodia.

K.T. Tunstall

Believe it or not, this rock star does not own a car or a television. Her recording studio and house are made of 100 percent reclaimed wood, sheep's wool insulation and solar panels. Not only did she lobby for climate change in the United Kingdom and promote Origins natural beauty products, she also planted more than 6,000 trees in her native Scotland, toured in a biodiesel-powered bus and released her CD "Drastic Fantastic" in Paperfoam packaging (made of potato and tapioca starch). Whew!

If Cameron and Gwyneth do it, will you do it too? Yes, celebs have millions of dollars at their disposal (to offset those travel emissions, for one) but many of these green beauties show that it doesn't always take a lot of dough to put in a little effort. Find out which celebrity activists are making green more than just a trend with inspiring eco-friendly choices, from the clothes they wear to the causes they support.
