Kat Von D
The dramatic "leave it," two-toned look is fun, and clearly Kat's edgy enough to pull it off, but she is so much more gorgeous with the striking, all-over black shade.

Brenda Song
There's simply too much contrast between Brenda's dark and light brown hues. She's definitely not following the guideline of staying within two shades of her natural color. Her "love it" style shows how much better the same style looks with severely toned down streaks.

Shakira
We love the curls, but why add chunky, bright blonde streaks? Shakira's natural brown hue with subtle highlights is much better. It warms up her skin tone and still gives her a sexy rocker look.

Highlights are a perfect way to add dimension to your hair, making it appear full and vibrant. When done right, hair looks like it's been kissed by the sun. When done wrong, highlights can give hair a striped, skunk-like look -- not pretty. Check out our fave and least fave celebrity hair highlights, then offer up your opinion: Did they go too far or are their streaks just right?
