Clairol Perfect 10
The term "groundbreaking" gets thrown around a lot but Clairol's new Perfect 10 formula actually seems to live up to it, according to consumer reviews. The AminoGlycine formula colors hair at a lower pH than other dyes (pH 9 vs. pH10 or 11), which means it's less damaging on hair and the color lasts longer. "I can't wait until they bring this technology to salon -- it puts salon color to shame," says Jason Backe, master colorist at Ted Gibson Salon and color director for Clairol.

Neocell Super Collagen Powder
There are millions of products you can put on your hair and skin but improving your looks from the inside out via supplements is a fast-growing trend.

Neocell's Super Collagen Powder, a supplement getting buzz thanks to Oprah, claims it, "Corrects damaged nail beds. Thickens fine hair. Repairs connective tissues for improved elasticity and a clearer complexion. Builds lean muscle to help burn fat while you sleep." Pretty impressive for a little bottle.

And you can even drink your way to better skin with Glowelle drinks and powders (made by Nestle and sold at Neiman Marcus). They contain antioxidants from vitamins A, C and E and come in fun flavors like pomegranate and raspberry.

AgelessFantasy by Harvey Prince, $120
What's the point of having youthful skin if the rest of you gives away your age? Beauty companies have picked up on this and created haircare lines with anti-aging ingredients like antioxidants, amino acids and vitamins A and E. (Alterna and Osmotics are two popular anti-aging haircare lines.)

But AgelessFantasy is one of the first anti-aging perfumes. The scent is formulated to mask the smell of aging and it contains antioxidants. The brand's research found that when men smelled a woman wearing the fragrance they thought she was eight years younger on average.

Latisse
Throwing out your mascara might be a little premature, but the arrival of Latisse, the FDA-approved eyelash grower, will change the way we grow lashes. It's only available by prescription and costs about $120 for a 30-day supply but promises thicker, longer and darker lashes in just eight weeks.

Don't want to bother with a prescription? This over-the-counter lash grower is highly rated by our readers but isn't yet FDA-approved.
