L'Oreal EverPure
L'Oreal's EverPure line of shampoos and conditioners are sulfate-free, contain UV filters and are formulated for color-treated hair. L'Oreal is the first of the big drugstore brands to make this leap; we think others will follow.

Reloxin
For years now Botox has been ridding us of lines. And with no real competition on the market, it hasn't exactly been cheap. Enter Reloxin. The drug, another form of the botulinum toxin Botox uses, is already available in Europe and will likely get FDA approval in 2009. When that happens, doctors predict the competition will not only give patients options but also drive down the price of Botox.

Olay Pro-X
The Olay Professional Pro-X line has managed to do something we've all dreamt about: They've figured out how to make skin act like it did when we were younger. How? By using peptides and vitamin B3 to increase skin's hydration and repair our natural moisture barrier. Antioxidants and niacinamide also help increase cell turnover (which slows with age), and broad-spectrum sunscreen helps protect from future damage. What's even more impressive? They did a six-month clinical study comparing these products to a prescription retinoid (.02 percent tretinoin to be specific) cream -- and according to the company, this line garnered better results.

Products tested by 200 women during the clinical trial:
Olay Professional Pro-X Wrinkle Smoothing Cream
Olay Professional Pro-X Deep Wrinkle Treatment
Olay Professional Pro-X Age Repair Lotion with SPF 30

Clairol Perfect 10
The term "groundbreaking" gets thrown around a lot but Clairol's new Perfect 10 formula actually seems to live up to it, according to consumer reviews. The AminoGlycine formula colors hair at a lower pH than other dyes (pH 9 vs. pH10 or 11), which means it's less damaging on hair and the color lasts longer. "I can't wait until they bring this technology to salon -- it puts salon color to shame," says Jason Backe, master colorist at Ted Gibson Salon and color director for Clairol.
